We’re driven every day in honor of those pioneering Italian immigrants of the early 1900s, who like my grandfather, Gaetano Cantella, braved the Atlantic with their families and undauntedly approached the lady with the torch.
They carried with them only a bag of clothes in hand, a few dollars in their pockets, hopes and dreams in their hearts, and their favorite sausage recipe.

Papa Cantella’s is a family owned and operated food company specializing in premium sausages. In 1980, Tom Cantella founded this business with an Italian sausage recipe from his grandfather and a desire to provide the general public with the authentic taste of the “real” Italian sausage that was made in his kitchen as he was growing up. This meant producing a sausage that was made “fresh,” with quality meats and hand blended spices. Today, that desire has expanded into our current portfolio of over 150 formulas of fresh & fully cooked sausages. Our products can be found on shelves across the country in retail grocers & wholesale clubs, as well as a comprehensive network of food service distributors.

At Papa Cantella’s we pride ourselves on our reputation for superior quality products and packaging. We use only the highest quality meats, spices, vegetables and cheeses from around the globe to make some of the finest sausages and prepared foods on earth! We do not use any MSG or unnecessary fillers or additives. All of our products are made to order for each of our customers in our own state-of-the-art, U.S.D.A. inspected & approved processing kitchen. Papa Cantella’s is at the forefront of food safety and quality assurance.  Our facility and personnel are HACCP certified, and we are proud to have full GFSI (Global Food Service Initiative) certification, ensuring only the safest and highest quality food is enjoyed by our customers.
